SAI was awarded a cyber-security project for the Ministry of Interior, Mexico

Sarakki Associates Inc. was awarded the $3.85 Million Data Loss Prevention Project by US Department of State based on competitive bids.

The project entails the implementation of enterprise-wide Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools that will enable the Government of Mexico and its sub-agencies to identify, monitor, and protect sensitive institutional data. The hardware and software tools installed as part of this project will be instrumental in securing and protecting investigative data required for prosecuting cases.

 Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to implement a centrally managed unified data protection solution for the Government of Mexico and its sub-agencies. This will enable security agencies to manage information assets and ensure critical or protected data is not transferred to another individual or system without the approval of the data owner. The DLP system will provide the ability to determine sensitive data, and based on institutional policies, define how the data is stored, accessed, distributed, and protected. High level objectives and functional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Multiple network security zones
  • Network Data Monitoring
  • Email Security
  • Filtering of content and internet searches
  • Intrusion Detection
  • Prevention/detection of information leaks
  • Detection and elimination of malware
  • Secure internet investigations
  • Seamless integration with existing software and hardware
